Pinstriping is the original form of custom culture; it emerged as early as the late 1940s and can be considered the first modern style of vehicle decoration.
The design and style of the pinstriping vary depending on the object. It can be simple and executed in a single color, or it can consist of intricate, multi-colored scrolls. My goal is always to tailor the pinstriping to the object and the owner’s personal style, thereby adding value to the piece. Restored vehicles demand precise straigh line striping or coachlining for the finishing touch.
Pinstriping can be applied to anything from motor vehicles to ladies purses. The painting is done in the traditional manner using a different kind of pinstriping and scroll brushes. For paint, I exclusively use 1-Shot alkyd-based enamel, which offers excellent outdoor durability and requires no clear coat.
