The course will take place at the WizzzCraft workshop in Turku, Finland, located at Siutlankatu 5, Unit 1, 20380 Turku.

In this basic gilding workshop, you will be introduced to gilding materials, including genuine gold leaf, imitation metal leaf, and variagated imitation leaf.

You will gain hands-on experience in surface gilding using an oil-based adhesive medium, known as "size".

You will practice refining the gilded surface through burnishing (making engine turn and beveled burnish).

The gilded text or design will be outlined with paint.

The course also covers a demonstration of gilding on glass.

The course fee includes all materials; both imitation metal leaf and genuine gold leaf will be used during the practical exercises.
